When is someone old enough to try Cannabis? recreationally OR Medically? How should a parent deal with a Minor who smokes pot? Today on Lex's World we talk about my assertions on this issue based on all of the information I've provided you guys in prior episodes; not only from the physiological health perspective, but from the maturity perspective. My overall answer is: Marijuana consumption shouldn't start until someone is at least 18 or old enough to give informed consent. This age bracket also lines up nicely with a major reduction in the already relatively-minor harms & risks associated with Cannabis use. When it comes to medical use, age should not be a factor provided that Cannabis helps with the condition at hand... especially when you compare weed to the many harmful and dangerous pharmaceuticals on the market which unfortunately some children need.
