Did weed contribute in a big way to the success of Youtube.com? Today on Lex's world I wanted to talk about some startling data and events from 2005 that very much suggest that's the case! Lazy Sunday, the "Chronicles of Narnia Rap"... an SNL skit staring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell went viral in a big way on December 17, 2005 and Youtube reaped the rewards. Less than a year later, Google Video was so completely defeated that Google had to buy Youtube for 1.5 Billion dollars. Since Lazy Sunday was all about Cannabis culture with its references to Chronic, Dope, Ghosting, etc... the large stoner audience for became a base of Youtube.
