Dog or Cat swallowed Marijuana? Its common. Today on Lex's World, find out what to do.
Generally speaking, if the amount is small... like an eighth or lower, there's no need to worry; it happens to many pet owners who smoke up. Vets see this issue all the time, though there's no need for a vet if the amount is small. If its a higher amount, like a quarter or even a quarter pound... action is recommended on your part like taking the animal to the vet; its about to have a VERY unpleasant experience. But you don't have to worry about your pet dying. They'll either have typical green out symptoms, or at worst case scenario a seizure, which many vets report in cases where a pet (usually a dog whose prone to seizures) has swallowed mass quantities of pot.
*DISCLAIMER: I am not a veterinarian by trade. My advice is secondary to a vet's. My background on this topic comes from online research, a couple of peer-reviewed studies on Marijuana Effects on Animals and (lol) personal experience seeing it happen.*
